On this beautiful homesite, our team worked with the client to create a river retreat complete with a workshop, studio, pool and pool house – all knitted together through a series of garden rooms. The master plan weaves together the region’s agrarian and tidal patterns while creating spaces for recreation, meditation, and sculpture. Over 500’ of eroded shoreline were restored, and rainwater is harvested for reuse in irrigation and pool replenishment.
In the 1930s and 40s, Gloucester was considered the daffodil capital of America. Building on this tradition, over 50,000 daffodils have been planted on-site, all sourced from local growers.
