Located in St. George, Virginia, Blue Ridge School is a residential boarding school campus where students and faculty live, learn, and gather within a close-knit campus environment. Set within the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the campus is defined by its historic buildings, mature landscape, and strong connection between the academic, residential, and outdoor environments.

Waterstreet Studio has collaborated with Blue Ridge School on several landscape improvements focused on enhancing the daily experience of campus life. Work has included the design of the Chapel Gardens, landscape improvements associated with faculty housing, and a conceptual study for the school's outdoor dining terrace. Each project was developed to reinforce the residential character of the campus by creating comfortable, functional, and welcoming outdoor spaces for gathering, reflection, and informal interaction.

The Chapel Gardens provide an enhanced setting for one of the campus's most significant landmarks, incorporating thoughtful planting, circulation, and seating areas that support both daily use and special events. Landscape improvements at faculty housing strengthen the connection between residences and the surrounding campus landscape, creating more inviting outdoor environments for the school community.
