The Landstallë property was designed to support the rhythms of family life while preserving the openness and character of the property. Waterstreet’s work creates distinct places for gathering, play, swimming, gardening, and retreat.

An enhanced upper terrace extends daily life from the house into the garden, while a new pool and level lawn create a more informal landscape for recreation and children’s play. Vegetable gardens introduce opportunity for cultivation and a more direct, seasonal connection to the land.

Additionally, the design reconsidered how the broader landscape is managed. Generous tree and planting beds organize the grounds, strengthen the relationship between spaces, and reduce the amount of regularly mown lawn by nearly half. The result is a landscape that is richer and more dynamic while requiring less intensive maintenance.
