At Forest Hill, the landscape of an historic home was reimagined around the owners’ commitment to regenerative living. Rather than treating sustainability as a collection of individual features, Waterstreet’s design brought productive, ecological, and ornamental landscapes together as an integrated expression of how the owners live on and care for the land.

Existing meadows are enhanced and expanded, while permaculture, aquaponics, solar energy, and a greenhouse for raising tilapia introduce productive systems into the larger landscape. A ha-ha wall preserves open views while providing subtle separation and allowing the historic character of the property to coexist with its evolving use.

A shaded woodland garden offers a more intimate experience near the house. The space is organized around an existing millstone, reinterpreted as a water feature and focal point within the garden. Paths and planting shape the approach, creating a gradual transition from the more open landscape into a quieter, immersive garden setting.
