Virginia Episcopal School
Waterstreet Studio has completed three projects at Virginia Episcopal School that celebrate the campus’s landscape, history, and community. The Box Plaza expansion builds upon Van Yahres' original design to enhance a central gathering space. Nearby, a new event lawn and terrace honor the footprint of a former historic home, incorporating a fireplace and conversation table to create a reflective garden. Funded by alumni, the garden pays tribute to Mary Segan, a longtime teacher and administrator. At the Pannill-Smith Academic Building, a new entry plaza—nicknamed “The Daffodil Guy”—welcomes students each spring with cheerful blooms and a strong sense of place.
