14th Street Streetscape
14th Street Streetscape
$0.00
Transformative streetscape and stormwater enhancement project along the 14th Street corridor in Richmond, Virginia’s downtown district. Named a Virginia Treasure by the McAuliffe Administration in 2016.
Working with City Officials, corporate citizens and area garden clubs, the team established a public-private funding mechanism to kick off much-needed improvements in this highly trafficked corridor. What once was considered a “concrete canyon,” today is a display of Swamp White Oaks, Ginkgos and River Birch rising from a constructed bio-filtration system that reduces runoff and pollutant loads entering the James River.
