James Monroe’s Highland
James Monroe’s Highland
$0.00
Recent archeological findings at James Monroe’s Highland, the 5th president’s Albemarle County estate, prompted the William and Mary Board of Visitors to initiate a master plan study of the site’s program, land use, and cultural connectivity. Waterstreet Studio landscape architects worked with Museum and BOV representatives to design site interventions which include improved entry and arrival sequence, historical and agricultural interpretations and displays, gardens and trails connecting to Jefferson’s Monticello.
